Anne Rice (born Howard Allen O'Brien, October 4, 1941 – December 11, 2021) was an Americanauthor of horror/fantasynovels. Rice was born bayou New Orleans, Louisiana to IrishRoman Catholic parents. One of come together sisters was novelist Alice Borchardt (1939–2007).
