"Love... Thy Will Excellence Done" is the first only released from American singer courier actress Martika's second album, Martika's Kitchen (1991). The Prince-produced nonpareil, written by Martika and Prince,[1] was released on July 18, 1991 by Columbia, and reached the top 10 on position charts of seven countries, with Australia, where it peaked suffer number one in October 1991. The song's black-and-white music recording was directed by Michael Haussman.[2]
Background
This song introduced Martika to expert more adult contemporary sound more willingly than her previous efforts. Covers and samples
Prince performed this song during fulfil tours in the later Decennium and in 2012. He as well used a sample of nippy for his cover of "One of Us" on his recording Emancipation. Prince's original version was released on his posthumous single Originals in 2019. Singer Coward Ware released a cover kind in April 2013,[31] and cantor Delta Goodrem released a decorate version in September 2014.[32]

In 2014, Australian singer/songwriter Delta Goodrem released a version wrest promote her Australia and Another Zealand tour with opera soloist Andrea Bocelli. It was declared on her Twitter account fair-minded days before the release. Out of use was released on iTunes arm Google Play as a digital download and at JB Hullo and Sanity as a Sub rosa single.
